One piece of writing that you will be asked to do in certain business courses is called an “Investment Analysis and Recommendation.” These kinds of papers, or reports, carefully analyze the financial status of a company or organization, explain the factors behind its status, project possible future financial outcomes or changes, and then propose a course of action, such as reinvestment or a new investment. These papers can follow traditional academic format and style, or they can look more like a business proposal and presentation.
